Patients admitted to the hospital are at increased risk of developing kidney-related disorders — ranging from acute kidney injury and electrolyte disturbances to uncontrolled blood pressure and the need for renal replacement therapy (dialysis).
Our physicians also work closely with patients facing heart failure complications, liver failure complications, and post-operative needs. Once we receive a consultation request from the hospitalist team on your behalf, your nephrologist will visit you daily, explain the management plan, and keep you updated. After hospitalization, continuity of care continues at one of our outpatient locations.
